What makes a leader?

i have been telling many people that law fac on its own got macam macam jenis punye people. and yesterday, i witnessed one of the species which i would call it EGOIST.

one was ex-... and one was ex-... who were having some easy chatters at the cafe, and i decided to permit myself a sit with them, which has eventually spoilt my mood throughout the day. >,< eww..

starting off with the orientation week that has just passed, we were also talking about buddies and projects etc. i hope it didn't show on my face that in fact my disappointment and shock was growing. it's because i felt offended when she said "what a PM are you? u should have found a better buddy."

so i was blamed that i did not take initiative to approach for a better looking junior. OH COME ON! is appearance all that matters? whether he or she looks like a nerd or ugly betty, it doesnt represent his personality. or perhaps, as you said, you were being prejudice simply because he was named NNN?! hahaha, i would take it as a joke, anyway, although it's not funny at all.

my O.S. "is it the way a senior, or we used to acknowledge as a leader, presenting him/herself to a junior?" this senior has indeed contributed very much in past projects and has built up convincing reputation, for that reason i think she should mind her words. for instance, criticisng apprehensively, or giving no extra credits specially for leng zai or leng lui. or else, saying like "fair, just and reasonable" was just bullshitting.

this incident reminds me of her comment on L-Night t-shirt as well. eww. less than pleased.

before i forget, actually i was thinking of sharing with them what i heard from juniors about the orientation week. thought of giving suggestions but haiz... kinda a waste of time.

it was a good idea promoting a project by telling the juniors that most of the JKOs were once in the commitee of All Nite, because it produces leaders, they said laa.. but taa, u know, ermm.. WHAT MAKES A LEADER?

as a leader, nobody concerns whether you are lesbian or gay, this is not an issue in this faculty, it is CAPABILITY that gives you credit. it's awkward that gay issue has overwhelmed the juniors. they were pursuing me one night, asking me innocently that, "is it true that law fac has 10 gays each years?" "why are they like promoting benefits to be a gay?" "do we have to be gays?" i was shaken up by the fact that they equalized leaders to gays. WHAT the hell! so you see, delivering message correctly is essential as you are being a role model among the juniors.

so the other one commented about unity among my coursemates, about somebody backstabing Lo Nait. eww.. it's so unfair and it happens among you also what, blek. what's the point. im saying that, leader o leader, does gossiping include in the prerequisite? wow wow wow, i'm shivering, dasyat.

and, there was another senior asking me why i joined PM? before i said anything, she continued, "so that you can influence the juniors huh?" X.X i'm dying, dreadfully. so, it is influence, status and power that a leader is seeking for?

i must write it in the blog because it reminds me of ATTITUDE.

it is just that, sometimes, their arrogance and egoistic annoyed me.

Peace. =)

  1. Firstly, I agree with you in total that appearance shouldn't be the main criteria in choosing buddy. I really got annoyed by some seniors(okay,it's a 3rd year SHE) that grabbed the good-looking freshie and be proud of it all the time..WHAT THE FISH!! The way the freshies carry themselves is more and MORE IMPORTANT okay??!! Is there anything to feel proud over a lengzai or leng lui buddy?? They thought they are paid for that izit?! SHIT.

    Secondly, again agree with you with both hands up that gay issue shoudn't be highlighted so much to the freshies...and Who is that sickening people that spreading the rumours saying there are 10 gays each year??!! He has gone mad izit?! BullSHIT lah..
